Do I Need to Be Home During My Roof Replacement?

Not Sure If You Need to Be Around? Here’s What We Recommend

A roof replacement is a big project, but that doesn’t mean you need to take the day off work or stay home the entire time.

At Roofing Exterior Innovations, we make the process simple and respectful of your schedule. Here’s what to know:

🏠 1. No — You Don’t Need to Be Home

You are not required to be home while we replace your roof.

Our crews are trained, supervised, and work off detailed plans. As long as we have access to the driveway and a point of contact, we can complete the entire job while you're away.

✅ We’re also happy to communicate through phone, text, or email throughout the day with updates and photos.

🛑 2. But It’s Totally Fine If You Want to Stay

Many homeowners choose to stay home during the work — and that’s fine too!

Just be aware:

Roofing is loud (especially during tear-off)

Vibration and banging can be felt throughout the home

Pets and kids may be more comfortable off-site

Parking and driveway access may be temporarily limited

If you work from home, consider making arrangements for a quieter day elsewhere.

📸 3. You’ll Still See Everything That Happens

Whether you're on-site or not, we document your project with:

Before, during, and after photos

Inspection results and permit records

Final walkthroughs with your approval

We typically take 80–100 photos per job so you can see the full process and know the job was done right.

📆 4. You’ll Know the Schedule in Advance

We’ll communicate clearly before your job starts, including:

The expected start date and time

How long the job will take

When materials will be delivered

Any access we’ll need (like moving cars or pets)

You’ll never be left wondering what’s going on.

✅ Whether You Stay or Go — We’ve Got You Covered

You don’t need to be home — but you will be informed every step of the way. We treat every home like it’s our own and work hard to keep the job site clean, safe, and well-managed.
